  CRS - Certified Residential Specialist

CRS designation, awarded by the Council of Residential Specialists, is the highest professional designation awarded to Realtors in the residential sales field. Less then 4% of Realtors hold the CRS designation but sell 25% of the real estate in the United States. In addition to educational requirements the Realtor must have a proven sales transaction history within a specific time period.

ABR - Accredited Buyer Representative

The accredited buyer representative (ABR) designation is the benchmark of excellence in real estate buyer representation.

The ABR is the only nationally recognized designation for buyer's agents. A buyer's agent represents the buyer in a real estate transaction. The ABR designation demonstrates to clients that the agent has taken steps to continue their education in the field of buyer representation and has the proven experience and training to deliver ethical and professional service to real estate buyers.

The ABR is governed by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors. The requirements for this coveted designation include a comprehensive two-day course in buyer representation, a written examination on legal and practical aspects of client representation and practical experience in the field of buyer representation.

With well over 40,000 members worldwide, Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (www.REBAC.net) is the world's largest organization of real estate professionals concentrating in buyer representation.
